The New School Rooms is situated in the picturesque village of Box and is within easy reach of the World Heritage city of Bath, 6 miles away. This spacious apartment is positioned on the ground floor of a beautiful Georgian family residence, providing accommodation for up to 12 guests, and includes exclusive use of the heated swimming pool and premium hot tub: the perfect hub for families and groups looking to relax by the pool or explore the endless list of local attractions.
About this space
Upon entering you will be greeted by a recently refurbished, fully equipped kitchen, complete with marble flooring, a large 5 burner range cooker, dishwasher and washing machine. To the left of the kitchen is a very generous open-plan lounge and dining room measuring 4 x 10 metres: an impressive, flexible space that boasts plenty of traditional features. There are three comfy sofas, which are also sofa beds, a large dining table, a flat screen television, a sound system, a pool table, a blackboard and board games.
Sleeping arrangements
There are 3 bedrooms and 3 sofa beds, sleeping up to 12 guests: 1 twin room with en suite, 2 double rooms with en suite, and 3 double sofa beds in the main living area.
Pool, hot tub and outside space
The private heated swimming pool, premium hot tub and Mediterranean style terrace create a social haven with something for everyone to enjoy. These facilities are located 20 metres across the courtyard from the apartment and are for your exclusive and private use during your stay.
There is also an alfresco dining area at the front of the property, a perfect spot for afternoon tea or a barbecue. A barbecue and gas can be supplied on request.
The swimming pool is open from April to November and the hot tub is open all year round. The outdoor areas close at 9pm. Out of respect for our neighbours we ask that you refrain from playing music outside; speakers are provided inside which can be used until midnight, after which we ask that noise is kept to a minimum.
Guest access
You have your own private entrance and 24 hour check-in: the key is left in a lock box, with the code supplied by email. Early check-in and late check-out can on occasion be accommodated, chargeable at the same hourly rate as your stay.
Parking and travel
There is free parking available on site, and buses run to Bath or Chippenham up to 4 times per hour.
There is a 7.4kW Type 2 electric vehicle charger at the property, available through the CoCharger app, where its availability and charges are published.

The house was great with plenty of bedding, kitchenware and towels for all the guests, we were even lucky with the weather and made use of the pool and hot tub! Great location to get to Bath itself but also far out enough to feel like a city break! Would definitely come back and stay again!

When you enter you are welcomed with towels and some house slippers in the rooms so that you feel welcomed. I highly suggest this place for a group who are under 25.

5 of us women have been friends since school and we are celebrating our 60th birthday year. Good communication with owners of accomadation. We stayed at this apartment for 3 nights and is was perfect for us. This Is a great apartment near Bath. The apartment has a private drive leading to its own private entrance, there are 2 parking spaces on site. The apartment has an outdoor dining area in the garden. Inside it has a great lounge/living area with a huge dining table and chairs, a Pool table and 3 very comfortable sofas (which convert to beds if required) this living space felt roomy but also cozy at the same time and we had a great time chilling here. The kitchen is a good size and is very well equipped with huge cooker, fridge, coffee machine, kettle, pots, pans etc. There is a LOT of crockery for your use including plates, bowls, cups, glasses, cutlery etc this is a plus as some air bnb’s have minimum quantities. There are 3 bedrooms in the apartment, each has an en-suite shower, sink, toilet. All bedrooms have wardrobes and full length mirrors in each room. We had exclusive use of the swimming pool and hot tub which we absolutely loved and took full advantage of.
The apartment is situated outside of Bath and there is a bus stop within a couple of minutes walk away. The buses are regular and on time (buses take cash and card payment) It’s really easy to get to Bath and I’d recommend a trip there. There is a small convenience store nearby, few mins walk which stocks pretty much everything. There are 2 pubs and 2 cafes within strolling distance. There is an Indian restaurant/take away bvery close. We had a take out on our first night and it was excellent and good value. This apartment was perfect for us and I would recommend to anyone wanting to get away from it all but with easy access to Bath. It would be great for 3 couples or 6 friends sharing the bedrooms with the possibility of extra sleeping in the living room (note the 3 toilets in the apartment are all situated en-suite in the bedrooms, bare that in mind) great for families with kids or good mates who don’t mind sharing bathroom arrangements. This is made clear in the description. Definitely not a negative from us.
We all absolutely loved this apartment, everything about it and we really loved the pool and hot tub and outside areas. My family have been sent many photos and I will be returning with family next time…
