The New School Rooms is situated in the picturesque village of Box and is within easy reach of the World Heritage city of Bath, 6 miles away. This spacious apartment is positioned on the ground floor of a beautiful Georgian family residence, providing accommodation for up to 12 guests, and includes exclusive use of the heated swimming pool and premium hot tub: the perfect hub for families and groups looking to relax by the pool or explore the endless list of local attractions.
About this space
Upon entering you will be greeted by a recently refurbished, fully equipped kitchen, complete with marble flooring, a large 5 burner range cooker, dishwasher and washing machine. To the left of the kitchen is a very generous open-plan lounge and dining room measuring 4 x 10 metres: an impressive, flexible space that boasts plenty of traditional features. There are three comfy sofas, which are also sofa beds, a large dining table, a flat screen television, a sound system, a pool table, a blackboard and board games.
Sleeping arrangements
There are 3 bedrooms and 3 sofa beds, sleeping up to 12 guests: 1 twin room with en suite, 2 double rooms with en suite, and 3 double sofa beds in the main living area.
Pool, hot tub and outside space
The private heated swimming pool, premium hot tub and Mediterranean style terrace create a social haven with something for everyone to enjoy. These facilities are located 20 metres across the courtyard from the apartment and are for your exclusive and private use during your stay.
There is also an alfresco dining area at the front of the property, a perfect spot for afternoon tea or a barbecue. A barbecue and gas can be supplied on request.
The swimming pool is open from April to November and the hot tub is open all year round. The outdoor areas close at 9pm. Out of respect for our neighbours we ask that you refrain from playing music outside; speakers are provided inside which can be used until midnight, after which we ask that noise is kept to a minimum.
Guest access
You have your own private entrance and 24 hour check-in: the key is left in a lock box, with the code supplied by email. Early check-in and late check-out can on occasion be accommodated, chargeable at the same hourly rate as your stay.
Parking and travel
There is free parking available on site, and buses run to Bath or Chippenham up to 4 times per hour.
There is a 7.4kW Type 2 electric vehicle charger at the property, available through the CoCharger app, where its availability and charges are published.

Also was perfect location for getting in and out of bath on the bus, I’ve always had trouble trying to drive and park in bath but this was the perfect solution.

The pool area was located between the main house and the additional lodge we booked. Equidistant to the group, but not directly outside the properties.
All areas were very clean and tidy on arrival with plenty of fresh towels. Check in was super easy with lock boxes and April was wonderful at communicating with every query we had.
Located 15-20 bus from Bath (or 9K run if you fancy it like we did!) and Box has some great pubs and green spaces to explore. We especially enjoyed The Northey Arms, 10mins walk down the road for dining on the last night.
A much needed get away with good friends after the hard year we’ve all had.
